![]() ![]() I had not played a Lego game all the way through since Lego City Undercover several years ago, but I did grow up with Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Simply put, this game is a massive experience and love letter to all things Marvel. Other than that, I would highly recommend playing through this game.ġ6h PlayedI bought this game after my best friend pushed me to go for it while it was on sale, I wasn’t sure on the matter at first, even though I am a big Marvel fan (I’ve seen every MCU movie), but geez am I glad I got this. If you are playing the switch port as I did, be prepared for a few frame drops here and there and also be prepared for Chronopolis to tank your frames even more at times. I thoroughly enjoyed playing through it and, while the game did not cooperate with me all the time, I still had a lot of fun playing through it. Overall, this game is a great collectathon for both comic fans and LEGO fans. These two bugs drained me when they occurred, but if you keep pushing past them then you should (theoretically) be okay for the rest of the game. I do not know how this occurs, but it seems to be random. Specifically, it teleports to the left on the outside of the glass and it floats on the air. However, sometimes the box will teleport when pushed to the claw's trigger spot to a point where the claw cannot grab it. ![]() At the end of the belt, a claw is supposed to pick the box up and grab the ball, thus allowing you to progress. When trying to get the second pink ball to progress the level, you have to push a box down a conveyer belt. The second soft lock I encountered was in the symbiote level of story. Marvel too soon, the game will still have some invisible vines there that cannot be cut, thus soft locking the game. If you cut the vines with Black Panther and swap to Ms. The first one takes place in the Wakanda level of the story. In my playthrough, I only encountered two of them. The game also has a few soft locks in it that can be rather frustrating when trying to play through the levels. A guide is almost required to complete these challenges fully. There are almost no hints for these challenges and you will most likely find a few of them out of dumb luck. Another problem in the game is the various challenges needed to unlock the various vehicles in the game. ![]() This choice made flying frustrating at times, but nothing that cannot be overlooked. Flying is still problematic as you cannot really look around while flying because for some reason, the right joystick that should be used for looking around also directly controls the flying of the character. The races are still brutal, but for the most part, there aren't any cars that decide to ram into you while you are racing. However, the game still has a few of the flaws that the first one had. I thoroughly enjoyed playing through it a second time and did not find myself skipping any cutscenes because I actually enjoyed them. The story is also very good for a LEGO game. A large portion of playing through this game will be spent in the overworld of Chronopolis exploring every nook and cranny trying to find various characters, gold bricks, and vehicles. They feel much more manageable and less of a drag to play through when going back for minikits. Most levels, aside from level 3, are much shorter in comparison to the length of the levels in the first game. Aside from this, the game has made a few drastic improvements to it's gameplay. That is to say, the world fills much more full than the first game. 60h ProgressLego Marvel Superheroes 2 is overall a direct improvement to the first game.
